Our growth is as tangible as our products, and we’ve only just begun.

We are growing and are seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to own and manage employee records to ensure that our teams receive the accurate compensation and benefits owed to them, and in a timely manner.  We are looking for an outstanding Payroll & Benefits Administrator who wants to grow their career in payroll and wants to leave a tangible legacy:

  • You are reliable and responsible for gathering time records from employees and calculating hours worked and pay received for each employee accurately. Ensure time records are accurate and resolve any inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  • You’re an expert on transmitting payments to employees quickly and accurately
  • You know how to troubleshoot. You’ve been the payroll expert and liaison of a fast paced and dynamic company.
  • You answer any questions that employees might have about payment and work to resolve any payment issues that arise, with haste and an impeccable attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete bi-weekly payroll for all hourly and semi-monthly payroll for all salaried employees in a timely manner
  • Facilitate payroll and benefits procedures for employee enrollment, termination and adjustments
  • Set up appropriate recurring pay elements such as vacation pay, tax deductions, and other taxable benefits
  • Prepare year‐end payroll reports such as taxable benefits and generate accurate T4 documents within the required timelines
  • Track and report vacation use, leave time and other entitlements and report to people team & division managers on a regular basis
  • Maintain the accuracy and completeness of all payroll‐related records
  • Provide assistance to internal and external auditors
  • Process new hire documentation, prepare employee packages
  • Reconcile benefits invoices for Group Insurance
  • Assist with implementation of new policies

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of payroll and benefits experience is required
  • Advanced knowledge in processing semi-monthly payroll using online payroll software
  • Well‐versed in payroll legislation and employment standards. Has initiative to do research
  • Treats all HR and Payroll matters with the strictest confidentiality
  • Detail‐oriented; ability to work with numbers quickly and accurately
  • Experience in benefits enrollment, administration and processing
  • Systematic in solving problems and implementing solutions
  • Has a competent background in Microsoft Excel and is a fast learner of payroll and accounting software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certificate is an asset.
