Director Supply Chain 

Rubicon Organics’ mission is to grow the best cannabis on Earth, and for the Earth. We are on our journey to achieving our vision to be the global brand leader in organic cannabis: Our state of the art hybrid greenhouse in Delta, BC is now fully operational and licensed; we have just planted our new outdoor grow site; we have recently received our Sales license; we have launched our first Canadian brand, Simply Bare Organic to rave reviews; we are about to move from 2 to 16 products in the next 3 months, and we have an innovation pipeline of over 50 products in the next 12 months.   

We are recruiting a Director of Supply Chain to help lead us through this explosive period of growth.  This is an opportunity to take everything you have achieved in your Supply Chain career to date and apply it in a senior leadership role within a nimble multinational company, leaving a huge legacy in your wake. 

Purpose of the Supply Chain Director   

  • Define, design and deliver the new supply chain department at Rubicon, whilst leading the supply and demand teams through this transition of process and explosive growth 
  • Ensure that Rubicon’s portfolio of organic brands are translated from concept into execution through effective planning, procurement, production scheduling and finally delivered on time, in full to our customers across Canada and the world. 
  • Partner with the innovation team to find and manage supply solutions to bring our pipeline of new products to market quickly 
  • Role model the mission, vision and values of Rubicon organics, and lead the team to exceed expectations so that all our stakeholders share in the extraordinary value that we create. 

We are looking for an outstanding Supply Chain Director who wants to leave a tangible legacy 

  • A supply chain expert that understands how to build a new supply chain function, not just run existing systems. A pragmatic builder, who can find the right balance in creating meaningful process, whilst also enabling us to remain agile in this fast-evolving and high growth industry  
  • A great people leader, who can inspire performance in their team to deliver results  
  • A data expert, who loves finding insights from, and patterns in complex data, with the ability to simplify the information and clearly communicate direction to help the organisation be effective 
  • A leader who wants to deliver a broad business impact, through their participation and contribution to the supply and country leadership team, to propel the entire organization forward.  

Requirements  

  • 10 years experience in supply chain leadership roles 
  • Success in growing and developing high performing supply chain teams 
  • Manage multiple team projects across different functions 
  • Previous S&OP management and operations leadership is a strong advantage 
  • Proven analytical & creative thinking, and adept at solving technical and non-operational problems 

This position will report to the VP Operations and will be based in Delta BC.
