To help us bring our portfolio of Super Premium Organic Cannabis brands to the Canadian market, we are recruiting an outstanding Business Unit Manager to lead, recruit and manage our commercial business in Eastern Canada. Purpose of the East Business Unit Manager role

Lead and inspire the Eastern sales, ambassador and trade marketing team to deliver volume, revenue, gross margin and execution KPIs for a portfolio of super premium cannabis brands in Canada

Directly manage the Eastern provincial cannabis wholesalers to achieve listings and sales KPIs

Directly manage Eastern provincial Key accounts to achieve sales KPIs

Lead and execute instore shopper, trade, consumer & customer marketing initiatives

As a member of the Canadian sales leadership team, role model the mission, vision and values of Rubicon organics, and lead the Canada team to exceed expectations so that all our stakeholders share in the extraordinary value that we create.

We are looking for an outstanding sales leader who wants to leave a tangible legacy:

An agile, hands on leader, with a passion for leading the team to deliver & exceed targets

Ability to inspire and level with the customers from bud tender to KA buyer to customer and presidents

Ability to manage complex data and relationships, adept at closing multi-million dollar deals, whilst simultaneously leading daily execution of sales fundamentals.

A leader who wants to deliver a broad business impact, through their participation and contribution to the Canadian sales leadership team, to propel the entire organisation forward.


Required Skills, Experience and Academic/Educational Requirements:

  • 10 years’ experience in Sales management.
  • 5 years’ experience leading sales teams and cross functional teams
  • Experience of distributor management, Key account management and field team management
  • On premise and off premise sales experience an advantage
  • Proven analytical & creative thinking, and adept at solving problems
  • Used to managing commercial budgets of $3m
  • Previous cannabis or Liquor sales experience an advantage

This position will report to Sales Director Canada and will be based in Toronto, and will require minimum 50% time for work travel across Eastern Canada.
