We’re looking for a talented Sanitation Supervisor to help us deliver our mission and have a big impact in this high growth industry. As part of our Quality Team, you will ensure we are delivering our super premium organic cannabis to provide an incredible consumer and patient experience. Quality is our obsession and our Sanitation Supervisor will define, design and deliver a sanitation program that enables that obsession.

Purpose of the Sanitation Supervisor role

  • Define, design and deliver a sanitation program that meets Health Canada, EU-GMP and Organic Certification regulations and requirements.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of our sanitation program by finding ways to increase efficacy, efficiency and sustainability.
  • Build and inspire the sanitation teams to deliver your vision.


  • Work with the Quality and Compliance Teams to define the requirements of the Cannabis Regulations, EU-GMP and Organic Certification in relation to sanitation
  • Design a framework for a sanitation program that meets regulatory requirements and is effective, efficient and sustainable
  • Build and lead the sanitation team through coaching and technical training, including documenting training activities
  • Schedule the sanitation teams and perform checks to ensure the sanitation program is being carried out properly
  • Develop, implement and maintain all standard operating procedures, work instructions and record-keeping forms for the sanitation program
  • Monitor the usage of supplies to ensure stocks are maintained
  • Lead the continuous improvement of the sanitation program by monitoring and validating cleaning and sanitation processes.
  • Provide sanitation, GMP, SOP, HACCP and safety direction and leadership to the site to ensure site rules, policies and regulations are followed
  • Identify and lead projects that reduce cost, improve quality & safety and work centre performance
  • Coordinate and organize equipment, materials and staff in order to achieve the daily sanitation and site cleanliness standards
  • Lead the Pest Control Program for the site
  • Conduct daily and monthly sanitation inspections, including pre-operation inspection and post-operation inspection· Verify change over cleaning from product to product on every line·
  • Lead the personal health & hygiene efforts at site in relation to production staff
  • Learn, train, and reinforce all relevant Health and Safety expectations and consistently evaluate adherence to PPE requirements for all staff
  • Logging activities and ensuring records are entered in a timely fashion
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment and on your feet for extended periods of time.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working in an environment regulated by Health Canada or in a production facility with GMP standards is considered an asset
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with adhering to standard operating procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • High School diploma required
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in sanitation, food science or a related field is considered an asset
  • Abiltiy to work night shifts or weekends, if required.
