Purpose of the Processing Supervisor – GMP Role:

  • Be the face of the leader of processing and packaging team on the floor
  • Model quality and excellence in everything you do to show our production team what great looks like
  • Partner with our quality team to drive the continuous improvement of our processes
  • Analysis of potential risks to product quality and safety and recommend controls and benchmarks to eliminate risk
  • Defend product quality and safety at every step of the production process to ensure we deliver on our quality goals.


  • Works in a GMP certified company and complies with all applicable GMP requirements including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI’s) and quality assurance measures
  • Hands-on management of technical production and packaging team
  • Maintain work schedules to ensure labor is allocated correctly for production requirements
  • Oversee and supervise packaging process, ensuring high standards are maintained across all aspects of production operating procedures
  • Promote and maintain the highest levels of cleanliness; assure all sanitation criteria are met
  • Verify the readiness of the production line at start-up and supervise shift changeovers
  • Complete all the paperwork for each activity according to Standard Operating Procedure
  • Ensure serviceability and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and systems
  • Be an advocate of safe and compliant working practices across the facility and ensure GMP standards are met
  • Responsible for product quality inspections to guarantee all standards and specifications are met prior to leaving the production
  • Identify non-conformances, initiating and resolving NCR’s
  • Ensure packaging material inventory is adequate for scheduled production levels
  • Communicate with all other applicable departments regarding problem areas and/or repairs
  • Track and maintain consumable items
  • Train, schedule, evaluate, reward, and discipline all personnel on assigned shift


  • A degree in a Food Science, Nutrition, Pharmaceutical or any relevant scientific discipline with at least 1-year related experience at a Food manufacturing, Natural Health Product or pharmaceutical manufacturing plant
  • Experience in Cannabis processing would be an asset
  • Able to plan, organize and manage workload for self and others to meet deadlines and deliver to schedule and targets
  • Excellent organization, communication, critical analysis, decision making and observational skills
  • Demonstrate aptitude Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook programs

The successful candidate will be expected to receive a background check as part of their employment and will be required to work at our Delta facility. As there is limited transit accessibility, a vehicle is required for this position.
