Summary

We’re looking for a talented individual to help us deliver our mission and have a big impact in this high growth and exciting industry. You will be working with the Packaging and Innovation teams while executing on packaging projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, deliver and execute all packaging projects

  • Source compliant primary, secondary and tertiary packaging products in response to marketing/innovation briefs

    • Existing “off the shelf” options evaluating, selecting and sourcing preliminary paperwork with suitable suppliers

    • Creating relationships with new suppliers for custom designs (inc liaising with engineers to ensure viability of custom packs)

    • Being on the forefront of all packaging trends in and out of the cannabis industry

    • Knowledge of cannabis packaging regulations and implications for packaging projects

  • Create and maintain packaging specification files ensuring/recording packaging requirements, specifications, and quality standards

  • Work alongside the packaging manager and supervisor to run production / line trials to assess packaging suitability / performance under various conditions

  • Materials – working with the brand and operational team to align suitable packaging materials (laminates, BOPP, PETE etc) for each launch/innovation

  • Artwork - Working with graphic designers to build compliant artwork, (In line with marketing and branding schemes) and leading through the internal approval process (maintaining all files for future use). On-line press approvals when required

  • Process development, and maintaining subsequent records, of all packaging testing (primary, secondary and tertiary) including but not limited to areas such as stability, transit and storage

  • Benchmarking packaging solutions vs in market competition and future technologies

  • Leading cost efficiency program across existing packaging options whilst maintaining quality and brand standards

  • Key interface with suppliers, internal project teams and key stake-holder management

  • Close working relationship with QA, Compliance and Procurement teams.
