Summary

Rubicon Organics is a leading organic-certified, super-premium cannabis producer. Our hybrid greenhouse in Delta, BC is fully planted with identified demand for the 11,000 kg/year capacity. We’ve had many successful harvests, are starting on our Outdoor Grow and have just received our Sales license. Our first brand, Simply Bare, launched in December 2019 to rave reviews and we continue to expand its availability across the country. We also have 2 or 3 new brands coming to market in the next few months. As we expand, Social Media is one of our most important channels and we’re looking for a talented individual to own all aspects of our brands’ social media to help explode our growth.

Purpose of the Social Media & Content Manager Role

Lead our Social Media strategy and execution to grow awareness of our brand portfolio as the best cannabis in Canada.

We are looking for an outstanding Social Media & Content Manager to make a massive impact:

  • An expert in social media who’s passionate about building brands
  • An excellent communicator with great written skills and an eye for visual design
  • Highly organised with the attention to detail needed for a premium brand

Responsibilities

  • Devise strategies to grow organic followers and engagement across all of our social channels
  • Own the social calendar for all brands ensuring it’s optimised and up to date
  • Write posts for all channels and source or edit on-brand visuals for each post
  • Respond in real time to comments and enquiries through all social channels
  • Run the monthly newsletter program and help to grow our subscriber base

What You Need 

  • 5+ years proven working experience in Social Media
  • An excellent knowledge of all the main social channels and how to win on each one
  • A self-starter who’s able to work independently and deliver results against targets every week
  • A flair for communication and the ability to adapt tone to different brands
  • A creative eye for great visuals and the ability to execute on brand
  • An incredible attention to detail and the passion for premium execution at all times
  • Knowledge of social media calendar tools
  • Ideally a working knowledge of Hubspot Marketing
  • Basic image editing skills would be an advantage
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to adapt and thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
