Inventory Specialist

We’re looking for a talented individual to help us deliver our mission and have a big impact in this high growth and exciting industry.  You will lead inventory control processes to ensure inventory accuracy in an extremely fast paced environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and leading inventory counts and investigating and reconciling inventory discrepancies
  • Verify and adjust inventory
  • Compile inventory reports, assist in submitting HC monthly reports
  • Implement and maintain a cycle count program for final products (bulk, retail), WIP and CRA stamps
  • Control inventory of CRA stamps and assist in CRA monthly reports
  • Ensure inventory movements are adequately reported in the system
  • Aggregate product need from marketing team and use/develop statistical tools to forecast demand
  • Compile a detailed view of the inventory available and future
  • Forecast needs for consumables and packaging material and ensure adequate safety stocks are always maintained
  • Lead initiatives to resolve capacity issues including implementing additional work shift, sourcing additional equipment and developing Capex needs. 
  • Track key metrics such as throughput, 0EE, inventory turns, load leveling, labour usage, etc.
  • Lead special projects as required, including consolidating inventory positions for expansions and supporting product launches
  • Assist with projecting inventory levels over time based on production plan, product demand, inventory on hand, and external factors
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy
  • Ascertain that all company safety and risk management procedures pertaining to inventory control are followed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized secured storage, shipping area and warehouse. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience and Academic/Educational Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in an Inventory role and/or Manufacturing environment
  • Superb organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with an ERP system. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Strong computer skills; specifically, in Excel.  Proficient with Microsoft Word.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to receive a background check as part of their employment.
