Margaret Brodie

Chief Executive Officer
Margaret Brodie has been instrumental in building Rubicon Organics since it was founded in 2015. She began her tenure as the CFO of the Company, was was appointed Interim CEO January 2023 and CEO February 2024. Under her leadership in 2023 Rubicon was awarded the prestigious KIND Awards of “Cannabis Company of the Year” and “People’s Choice Best Weed,” and produced two of the top three most popular brands as recommended by Canadian Budtenders in a third-party evaluation. She has over 20 years of experience in finance and executive leadership, of which 10 were spent with KMPG working in the UK and Canada for global beverage and global mining companies. Ms. Brodie has also held numerous corporate development and CFO roles for listed companies

Melanie Ramsey

Chief Operating Officer
With over 25 years of global experience, Mel has held senior leadership roles at renowned companies, including Diageo, Beiersdorf, and now Rubicon Organics™. She has driven success across commercial and operational functions, consistently delivering growth, operational excellence, and strategic transformation in diverse markets and industries worldwide.

Glen Ibbott

Chief Financial Officer
Glen Ibbott is a seasoned financial executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in publicly-traded life sciences and cannabis companies. He is best known in the industry for his tenure as CFO at Aurora Cannabis from 2017 to 2024, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s rapid growth, international expansion, and delivery of recurring EBITDA and cash flow. Prior to Aurora, Mr. Ibbott held senior finance roles at several prominent healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, including QLT Inc., where he was instrumental in its $500 million merger with Aegerion Pharmaceuticals. His strategic acumen and deep industry knowledge make him a valuable asset in guiding companies through complex financial landscapes.

Monika Mascitti

VP, People & Community
With over 20 years of experience in HR and talent acquisition across CPG and high-growth tech startups, Monika is passionate about building cultures that empower people and accelerate business growth. Formerly part of Starbucks’ leadership recruitment team, she played a key role in shaping talent strategies for a global brand. In the fast-paced startup world, Monika has partnered with founders and leadership teams to scale organizations rapidly while preserving a strong cultural foundation. Known for driving high-performance people strategies, she creates environments where teams feel engaged, aligned, and equipped to deliver exceptional results.

Chris Still

VP, Sales
A seasoned and experienced CPG professional, Chris has held various leadership roles over 10 years with PepsiCo, where building and developing sales teams, sales structure, and leadership talent was a primary focus & responsibility. Chris began his career in cannabis in 2019 with Tilray, and helped navigate the early and complex days of legalization in Canada.

Mathieu Aubin

VP, Marketing & New Business
Mathieu brings over 15 years of experience in highly regulated CPG companies ranging from tobacco to alcohol beverages, Mathieu is known for leading successful brands on a national level.

Mikky Hasch

Cannabis Counsel
Mikky has 20 years experience in the Cannabis industry, helping see the industry evolve through legalization and consulting with top brands in both the Canadian and US markets while becoming an innovator in the solventless extraction space.

Tyler Perkins

VP, Operations
Tyler has been a cornerstone of Rubicon Organics since its inception, contributing to the company's growth and success across key areas such as operations, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and compliance. With a master’s degree from Simon Fraser University and a background in high-performance collegiate sports, Tyler brings a unique blend of strategic thinking and team-oriented leadership. Known for his ability to build high-performing teams and nurture talent, Tyler is committed to driving operational excellence while fostering a culture of continuous growth and innovation at Rubicon Organics.

Senior Director of Consumer and Corporate Marketing
Aikta brings over 20 years of marketing expertise in the CPG industry. Before joining Rubicon Organics, she spent the majority of her career at Coca-Cola, where she played a pivotal role in launching and cultivating global brands within the Canadian market. Aikta's focus lies in harnessing consumer insights and market dynamics to craft brands that deeply connect with their intended audiences.

Sachi Thomas

Director of Sales Operations
Before Rubicon Organics, Sachi spent her career progressing within prominent CPG companies Red Bull and Weston Foods. Her areas of expertise include category management, business insights and national account management, which led to proven success driving sales and growing market share of several industry leading brands.

Calum Clayton

Director of Corporate Finance
Prior to joining Rubicon Organics in 2021, Calum spent seven years at KPMG in the UK and Canada, where he worked with FTSE 100 and TSX multinational companies in the energy, consumer goods, and manufacturing sectors.

Gui Bittencourt

Director of Supply Chain
Gui is a seasoned supply chain professional with over six years of experience in the legal cannabis industry. Holding a degree in Production Systems Engineering and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Gui has been integral to Rubicon’s growth since joining in 2021. He leads the company’s supply chain operations, from planning and procurement to delivery, while driving innovation, strengthening key partnerships, and ensuring the seamless execution of Rubicon’s premium cannabis products.

Joshua Rice

Director of Sales, West
Before joining Rubicon Organics, Joshua Rice built his career in leadership roles at industry-leading companies, including Breakthru Beverage (Diageo brands), Asahi, and Aurora Cannabis. A fun loving, people-first leader with a competitive spirit and an unwavering will to win, Joshua specializes in growing brands and developing strong sales teams across highly competitive industries. His ability to foster meaningful relationships with colleagues and partners has been a cornerstone of his success in driving growth and delivering exceptional results.

Angie Fulton

Director of Cultivation
Angie has over 8 years of experience in the cannabis industry, specializing in organic cannabis production and navigating the challenges of highly regulated environments. At Whistler Medical Marijuana and Aurora Cannabis, she led cultivation operations and built high-performing teams to drive quality and efficiency. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and is committed to ongoing professional growth, continually expanding her expertise in business leadership to drive innovation and operational excellence in sustainable agriculture.

Hamid Zanjani

Director of Operations and Facilities
Hamid brings over 15 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, project management, process optimization, and production operations, with a focus on driving efficiency and performance improvements. As a people-first leader, Hamid is passionate about team empowerment and fostering a collaborative work environment. He believes that investing in team development and promoting a culture of accountability and innovation is key to achieving sustainable operational success.

Antonio Tiergarten

Director of National Key Accounts
Antonio leverages his Mechanical Engineering background and over eight years of global experience in Sales, Innovation, and New Business to scale partnerships and drive growth. Before joining Rubicon Organics in 2021, he led international projects and teams at Whirlpool Corporation and brings a data-driven, consumer-first approach to building strategic partnerships that expand market presence and accelerate performance.

Doris Bitz

Chair
Doris Bitz has over 30 years of experience successfully building, scaling and growing manufacturing and CPG businesses in North America. In her most recent assignment as President of Dessert Holdings, a leading manufacturer of high-quality dessert products sold through retail and food service customers, Doris was responsible for the vision, strategy and commercial operations that propelled the business from annual revenues of $65 million to nearly $1 billion through organic growth and M&A. Doris has also held executive marketing positions at top-tier CPG companies including PepsiCo Canada and General Mills. Doris holds an HBA and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University.

Len Boggio

Independent Director
Len Boggio is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA) with significant experience as an auditor, advisor and independent director of public companies. During his 30 years at PwC in Vancouver and the UK, Len's clients included Canadian and multi-national enterprises listed on stock exchanges in Canada, USA, UK, Europe and Australia. Since his retirement from PwC in 2012, he has served as an independent director of several public and private companies including Equinox Gold (TSX: EQX), NewCastle Gold, and BC Hydro and its subsidiary Powerex Corporation. Len has served as the chairman of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (now CPA Canada) and president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (now CPA BC), and played a senior role in the unification of the Canadian accounting profession. He holds both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce degrees (Honours) from the University of Windsor Ontario and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D).

Michael Detlefsen

Independent Director
Michael Detlefsen is the Managing Director of Pomegranate Capital Advisors, an active investor advisory firm based in Toronto. He has extensive strategic, operating, board and investor experience. He has held senior executive roles at Air Canada (TSX: AC), Bell Canada/BCI (TSX: BCE), Maple Leaf Foods (TSX: MFI) and Ceres Global Ag Corp. (TSX: CRP) and has worked in the consulting practices of Monitor Company and PwC, as well as for the Government of Canada. He has advised and served on many boards, and is well-known and highly respected in the North American business community and within governments for his strategic acumen, operational insights, objective perspective, and ability to fix and grow businesses under challenging circumstances. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University and a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D). He was named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2002.

Ian Gordon

Independent Director
Ian Gordon recently retired as the Senior Vice President of Loblaw Brands Limited where he led the development and innovation behind some of Canada’s largest consumer brands including President’s ChoiceTM, no nameTM and Life BrandTM. With the growing issue of plastic waste in the environment, Ian now leads Loblaw’s plastic reduction strategy, overseeing the company’s cross-functional steering committee. Prior to Loblaw, Ian held senior sales and marketing roles at leading CPG companies including Unilever and International Multifoods, and President of ACLC Advertising. He is a board member of Recycle BC, The Canada Plastics Pact, and the Food from Thought research program at the University of Guelph. Ian is a graduate of Queen’s University.

John Pigott

Independent Director
John is CEO of Morrison Lamothe Inc. (MLI) and was CEO of Club Coffee L.P. from 2007 to 2024. He led his teams with a customer-centred focus on innovation, including to meet consumer demand for novel products and sustainable packaging. John’s approach enabled both companies to earn recognition as responsive supplier partners to well-known Canadian brands for mutual long-term success. Over more than 35 years, John has led and contributed to company and industry boards, task forces, and associations, including serving as Chair of three organizations: Food, Health and Consumer Products of Canada (FHCP); the Canadian Association of Family Business; and Young Presidents Organization, Ottawa Chapter. His contributions to Canada’s food manufacturing sector and his mentorship of rising industry leaders have earned the respect of his peers. In 2023, the Retail Council of Canada and FHCP honoured him with their Canadian Grand Prix Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2024, Canada’s food industry awarded him its Golden Pencil honour.

Karen Proud

Independent Director
Karen Proud is a senior policy and public affairs executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience across government and the non-profit sector, including a decade in senior roles at Health Canada. She is currently the President and Adjudicator of the Office of the Grocery Sector Code of Conduct. Karen previously served as President & CEO of Fertilizer Canada, Chief Operating Officer of Food, Health & Consumer Products Canada, President of Consumer Health Products Canada, and Vice President of Federal Government Affairs at the Retail Council of Canada. She has served on several non-profit boards and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental and Public Health.

Jesse McConnell

Director
Jesse was the Co-Founder of Rubicon Organics in 2015 and served as its Chief Executive Officer from May 20, 2015, to December 31, 2022, Jesse is an entrepreneur, investor and cannabis expert who has worked in the premium cannabis industry in Canada and the US for over two decades. Previously, Jesse co-founded Whistler Medical Marijuana Corp., which was eventually acquired by Aurora Cannabis Inc. in 2019 for $175 million. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts, Economics (Honors) from Memorial University and a Master of Arts, Philosophy (Honors) from University of Victoria. He is also a member of the Northern Lights chapter of the Young Presidents’Organization.
