Interim Chief Executive Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Margaret has been the CFO of Rubicon Organics since its inception in 2015 and was appointed Interim CEO on January 1, 2023. She has over 20 years of experience in finance, of which 10 were spent with KMPG working in both London, UK and Canada on global beverage and global mining companies. Ms Brodie has also held numerous corporate development and CFO roles for listed companies.
Chief Commercial Officer
Prior to joining Rubicon Organics™, Mel held senior leadership positions in Diageo and Beiersdorf and brings over 20 years of innovation and brand building experience from both developed and emerging markets.
VP of Finance
Janis is an experienced finance leader, with over 20 years experience in consumer goods and food & beverage industries, working across European markets for Procter & Gamble, Britvic Soft Drinks, and Nomad Foods.
VP of Operations
Peter has over 30 years at an Executive level in Operations. Having held senior Roles in Procter & Gamble, McCain Foods, and Natures Path, he brings a diverse experience having managed Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Research and Development.
VP of People
Monika has 20+ years experience in both recruitment & HR in CPG and tech start up companies. Formerly with Starbucks Coffee as National Recruitment Manager, then moving to work in start up environments, she has helped companies to scale quickly while maintaining strong company culture.

Director of Marketing & Innovation
Mathieu brings over 15 years of experience in highly regulated CPG companies ranging from tobacco to alcohol beverages, Mathieu is known for leading successful brands on a national level.
Market Strategy & Planning Director
Kim brings with her a wealth of global commercial experience from Red Bull where she had proven success in establishing and leading national commercial field teams, setting up and implementing trade essentials and developing commercial and management trainings that were implemented globally.
Director of Cannabis
Mikky has 20 years experience in the Cannabis industry, helping see the industry evolve through legalization and consulting with top brands in both the Canadian and US markets while becoming an innovator in the solventless extraction space.
Sales Director - East
Before Rubicon Organics, Sachi spent her career progressing within prominent CPG companies Red Bull and Weston Foods. Her areas of expertise include category management, business insights and national account management, which led to proven success driving sales and growing market share of several industry leading brands.
Sales Director - West
A seasoned and experienced CPG professional, Chris has held various leadership roles over 10 years with PepsiCo, where building and developing sales teams, sales structure, and leadership talent was a primary focus & responsibility. Chris began his career in cannabis in 2019 with Tilray, and helped navigate the early and complex days of legalization in Canada.
Tyler has been with Rubicon Organics since inception and has positively impacted across multiple areas of the business including operations, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and compliance. He holds a master's degree from Simon Fraser University and has a background in high performance collegiate sports. Tyler has a proven track record of developing high performing teams and fostering growth in high potential individuals.
Judy is an accomplished finance professional with over 10 years of experience, including prior roles at Milwaukee Power Tools and Loblaw. Judy drives process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial planning, reporting, and analysis and has extensive experience in developing financial models and forecasts, analyzing business performance.

Independent Director (Lead Independent Director)
Mr. Donnan is a leader in the global food and agricultural sector with over 35 years of experience working in consumer products, technology and retail industries. He is currently a Partner Emeritus at A.T. Kearney and was previously a Senior Partner at the firm where he led their global food and beverage team.
Mr. Pigott serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Morrison Lamothe Inc. and the Chief Executive Officer of Coffee Club. Mr. Pigott’s has extension experience in strategic planning, sales and product development in manufacturing frozen food products for many national and retailer owned brands.
Margaret Brodie; CPA, CA
Ms. Brodie has over 20 years of experience in finance, of which 10 were spent with KMPG working in both London, UK and Canada, on global beverage and global mining companies. Ms Brodie has also held numerous corporate development and CFO roles for listed companies.
Ms. Ramsey held senior leadership positions in Diageo and Beiersdorf and brings over 20 years of innovation and brand building experience from both developed and emerging markets. She is the current CCO of Rubicon Organics.
Michael Detlefsen is the Managing Director of Pomegranate Capital Advisors, an active investor advisory firm based in Toronto. He has extensive strategic, operating, board and investor experience. He has held senior executive roles at Air Canada (TSX: AC), Bell Canada/BCI (TSX: BCE), Maple Leaf Foods (TSX: MFI) and Ceres Global Ag Corp. (TSX: CRP) and has worked in the consulting practices of Monitor Company and PwC, as well as for the Government of Canada. He has advised and served on many boards, and is well-known and highly respected in the North American business community and within governments for his strategic acumen, operational insights, objective perspective, and ability to fix and grow businesses under challenging circumstances. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University and a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D). He was named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2002.
Doris Bitz has over 30 years of experience successfully building, scaling and growing manufacturing and CPG businesses in North America. In her most recent assignment as President of Dessert Holdings, a leading manufacturer of high-quality dessert products sold through retail and food service customers, Doris was responsible for the vision, strategy and commercial operations that propelled the business from annual revenues of $65 million to nearly $1 billion through organic growth and M&A. Doris has also held executive marketing positions at top-tier CPG companies including PepsiCo Canada and General Mills. Doris holds an HBA and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University.
Len Boggio is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA) with significant experience as an auditor, advisor and independent director of public companies. During his 30 years at PwC in Vancouver and the UK, Len's clients included Canadian and multi-national enterprises listed on stock exchanges in Canada, USA, UK, Europe and Australia. Since his retirement from PwC in 2012, he has served as an independent director of several public and private companies including Equinox Gold (TSX: EQX), NewCastle Gold, and BC Hydro and its subsidiary Powerex Corporation. Len has served as the chairman of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (now CPA Canada) and president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (now CPA BC), and played a senior role in the unification of the Canadian accounting profession. He holds both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce degrees (Honours) from the University of Windsor Ontario and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D).
Ian Gordon recently retired as the Senior Vice President of Loblaw Brands Limited where he led the development and innovation behind some of Canada’s largest consumer brands including President’s ChoiceTM, no nameTM and Life BrandTM. With the growing issue of plastic waste in the environment, Ian now leads Loblaw’s plastic reduction strategy, overseeing the company’s cross-functional steering committee. Prior to Loblaw, Ian held senior sales and marketing roles at leading CPG companies including Unilever and International Multifoods, and President of ACLC Advertising. He is a board member of Recycle BC, The Canada Plastics Pact, and the Food from Thought research program at the University of Guelph. Ian is a graduate of Queen’s University.
Karen is a policy strategist who has over 20 years experience in government relations, policy development, and regulatory and legislative affairs. Karen is currently the President & CEO of Fertilizer Canada. Prior to joining Fertilizer Canada, Karen served as the Chief Operating Officer for Food, Health and Consumer Products Canada, President of Consumer Health Products Canada, and Vice President of Federal Government Affairs for the Retail Council of Canada. Karen is a board member of Nutrients for Life, a charitable organization focusing on soil science and agricultural sustainability. She is also a past board member of the Global Self Care Federation, Labour Watch, as well as the Canadian Partnership for Consumer Food Safety Education. Karen holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).
